There is a lot of controversy over the protection that these actually give you. The main sunscreen ingredients are Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide, each at 4%. ![]() Ingredients of note: Fragrance free, but they added a bunch of fruit/plant extracts that may be just as irritating for some people. Pretty straightforward, I do like the plant design on the front as well as the metallic lettering, it’s pretty. So this sunscreen has become my benchmark for future sunscreens and I haven’t found anything that performs as well, until this week. But it has an amazing texture that leaves my face feeling velvety, I don’t notice it’s there, and importantly, my nose doesn’t feel all greasy. The reason it’s not my permanent choice is because it’s tiny and expensive, and because of the alcohol and fragrance that I’m just not big on. My daily sunscreen while I’ve been shopping around is Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector SPF 42. Most of them have not worked for my skin, because even when they have a glow to them that looks fine on the rest of my face, my nose just looks greasy. ![]() I’ve tried many drugstore and high end sunscreens. It’s the last thing to go on my face, and I feel it has the biggest impact on my self-confidence all day. While I feel I’ve nailed down a good routine so far, sunscreen has always been tough. While the rest of my face is manageable, my nose gets very shiny. However, my nose has pretty large pores/sebaceous filaments that seem to trap oil. I posted about this new purchase a while ago, so here’s what I think after using this sunscreen for one week!
